For fans of vintage "D-28s," the "HD-28V" is a popular model packed with the specifications characteristic of that era. This particular instrument is a used 1999 model. It features a Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, 42.9mm nut width modified V-neck, Gotoh original open-back tuners with Martin logo, diamond square fingerboard inlays, red tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, herringbone trim and ivoroid binding, zigzag backstrip, old decal headstock logo, original saddle, forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, and an aftermarket L.R. Baggs Lyric pickup. This instrument is one of the most popular models in the Vintage series, which follows vintage styles. It features a herringbone pattern reminiscent of older models, and boasts more detailed specifications than the HD-28, including the bracing, bridge, neck shape, and tuners.
