Wefve just received a vintage 1967 ES-335TD!
Although the serial number falls within the 1966 range and the pot date is also from 1966, the F-hole size is consistent with models made up to 1967, and the pickguard specifications match those from the second half of 1967. Based on these factors, we have determined that this is a 1967 model.
The body features a maple laminate semi-hollow construction with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. True to the era, it has a 14-degree headstock angle and a relatively narrow neck with a nut width of approximately 40mm.
It is equipped with two original, numbered PAF pickups, delivering a mellow tone characteristic of semi-acoustic guitars, along with a nice, clear sense of separation.
The tuners, frets, nut, bridge saddles, front pickup escutcheon, and knobs have been replaced.
The pointers on all four knobs are bent and lie flat horizontally.
The finish has developed cracks in a manner typical of vintage instruments, suggesting it is original. There are cracks in the finish at the neck joint, as well as other scratches, dents, chips in the finish, peeling on the back, and tarnish on the metal parts and peeling chrome plating.
Although it is a vintage instrument, practical maintenance such as refretting has been performed, and it is in good playing condition.
* Please note that due to the nature of the product, we are unable to transfer it between stores.
