In 1976 guitars were heavy and often by design, the feeling was back then that heavy guitars sounded better and had more sustain. In the case of this 1976 Les Paul Custom they were right, it's most certainly heavy, has bags of sustain and an awesome tone. Probably the best 70's Les Paul we've come across in the 39 years of Coda Music.

The fretjob on the guitar wasn't great so our superb tech Ryan has reftetted it and fitted a new nut. Back when the work was done in 1983 the binding was repaced and back of the neck resprayed. We've no idea why this was done, no records exist beyond the bill from Guitar Player in Rochdale that's included with the guitar.

Pickups look original and it looks like a pot's been changed at some point . Comes with the original chainsaw case.

A lovely piece of playable guitar history that looks super cool and has the added bonus of being a great guitar.
