API " THE BOX" (first version)

In brand new condition -- just a few VERY VERY VERY small ignorable blemishes, almost all blemishes you see in the pics are dust!

I am ( as you can see in my shop ) a mostly vintage gear lover, but i was actuially shocked by the sound / the punch which this cute little console delivers, purely by "going through it" ( so without engaging EQ or compression ) its kind of an eye opener when you are mainly focussed on vintage gear!!

The mic preamps, EQ and compression are of course allready known by many, so nothing to add there, absolutely great sounding too !!

THE BOX 1 versus THE BOX 2. ( B1 and B2 in this text )

1 -The quality of the sound and the technology is exactly the same, B2 does has some extra "holes" for slightly better heat management, but this can easily be addressed ( if you would want to, it's absolutely not a "must" ) by placing quiet vans or other cooling solutions.

2 - B2 has 8 mic preamps and eight 500 series slots, while the B1 has 4 mic preamps, and two 500 series slot PLUS two API Equalizers build in ( so you could kind of see it as four 500 slots if you like the API Equalizer )

3 - B2 has ( small ) metering for the 16 line inputs , B1 doesnt have that.

4 -B2 has a minor change to the master section ( a rubber edge around the talkback mic, Whoopyyy!! ) and there are some very small routing changes, please look it up if you can, i didnt find any online, please let me know!!
