VIDEO! Klira / Triumphator "Lady" Thinline ~1968 made in Germany

Completely restored and immediately playable: beautiful Klira Lady, made for the Triumphator musical instruments label of German mall and mailorder chain Quelle. The Lady model exists in a couple of variants (as any Klira guitar); this is the one with no toggle switch for the pickups and a Strat-like headstock, and mini-humbuckers instead of the previous singlecoils.

Klira was one of the major West German guitar manufacturers, starting in the late 1940s and going until 1982.

As always, the instrument has been serviced completely and is ready to be played immediately.

Measurements, weight and other specs:

-Scale:  628 mm

-Nut: ca 42,5 mm

-Weight: 2,8 kg

-Pickups: two Mini-humbuckers, likely sourced from Schaller, measuring ~7k each, twangy sound, controlled with a 2x2 Poti Layout (Volumes for each, tones for each). No toggle switch – you can dial in the pickups independently with their volume pots. The neck tone poti runs reversely.

-Body: laminated spruce, all hollow

-Neck:  slim mildly V-shaped maple with a rosewood fingerboard. Small vintage frets, comfortably flat fretboard (12’’).

Condition:

-Body: well preserved, some small dings and dongs. Only “issue” is a hole in the front bout where somebody ripped out the strap pin. The hole was closed and poses a cosmetic issue only.

-Neck: good condition, straight, trussrod works, some dings and dongs, fretboard with slight fingernail carvings, frets at 8/10 condition with minor crevasses

-Head: good condition, some dings and dongs.

-Hardware: in good shape; pickguard is missing.

-Electrics: works; the pickups need to be dialed in with their volume pots. The neck pickup’s tone pot runs reversely.

-Originality: all original except for the tuners, missing pickguard, and a couple of screws. Non original, yet 1:1 like original bridge. Non original Bigsby-style trem arm.

Sound and Playability:

-Playability and string action: really good playability with low string action (1,2-1,5mm – almost modern shredding comfortability if it wasn’t for the archtop bridge, which yields not as much sustain as a real TOM bridge.

-Sound: Please watch the video. It is a woody vintage sounding guitar with a lot of variety of uses.

As always, the instrument has been serviced completely and is ready to be played immediately.

-Completely cleaned

-Frets polished and fretboard cleaned

-New 10 gauge Pyramid all nickel strings put on

-Setup concluded and ready to be played (just tune it up)

Auxiliary stuff:

-no gigbag or case included. The item will be wrapped well, and put into a sturdy cardboard box with lots of filler material. If you wish I can buy a fitting case or gigbag at your costs.

AFTER DELIVERY: After receiving the item, please inspect the package for obvious damages and make photos if there are any. After unpacking, check the item immediately for damages or other undocumented flaws. I accept a 14 days return and will pay for shipping if the item is in a different condition than described upon arrival. Please note that I will only take the item back entirely, but not grant any reduction of price and generally only accept returns if the item was unaltered after arrival.
