ROYAL MOUNT 50 THUMBWHEELS AND POSTS GOLD - 6/32 POLLICI - VERSIONE POSTS LUNGHI (38 mm / 1,5")

Trovate info sui kit Royal Mount sul My Les Paul forum, The Les Paul forum e su YouTube.

Compatibile con:

- Chitarre con ABR-1 bridge 1954 - 1974

- Chitarre pre-Historic con ABR-1

- Chitarre Historic 1993 - presente

ROYAL MOUNT 50 THUMBWHEELS AND POSTS GOLD - 6/32 INCH - LONG POSTS VERSION (38 mm / 1,5")

The "Mapleflame" modification is perhaps one of the most classic Les Paul mods from the 1980s onward. It involves installing longer posts (38mm/1.5" versus the standard 26mm/1"). This prevents post leaning and increases the instrument's sustain.

In the past, steel rods were used to achieve this (sometimes hardware screws were even modified!), but the resulting sound was too metallic. Royal Mount has revived this mod, using its new, old-stock soft brass to maintain a sweet, vintage tone while still taking advantage of all the benefits of the modification!

The replica thumbwheels are based on a pair of original Gibson thumbwheels from the 1950s. They were made by a small Italian company on the Swiss border that has been producing precision hardware since 1936.

The same soft brass as the 1950s was used. The nickel plating is copperless to be 100% faithful to the original design. The sound is 100% vintage. It's the perfect complement to all instruments with the ABR-1 bridge, both vintage and historic (if you have a Nashville bridge, see my other listings).

Many manufacturers make more or less accurate replicas, but what makes the difference are the NOS soft brass rods that are lightly magnetized. You can find information on Royal Mount kits on the My Les Paul forum, The Les Paul forum, and on YouTube.
