The instrument is in full original condition except for the HEX screw for adjusting the string height on the bridge saddle, and the control assembly is soldered virgin, which is rare. It is not only relatively beautiful but also clean and in excellent near mint condition.
The serial number (S712007), pot date (1377730), sombrero type knob (shifted to black ST knob around 1978), and the interior and exterior of the hard case all point to a production date around 1977.
The hard case is in relatively clean condition, but one of the feet is missing, so it is a little unstable when standing. The hard case is missing one foot, which makes it a little unstable when standing.
General Condition
There is a paint damage of less than 5mm on the corner of the neck pocket on the first string side, but it has been touched up and may not be a concern. (The gradation of the 3-color sunburst is at a finer period, but the reddish color of the red gradation is still clearly visible.)
The condition of the metal parts, which are a mixture of chrome and nickel plating, is such that the chrome parts have some stains and the nickel parts have some stains due to aging, oxidative deterioration caused by dirt in the air, and rust deterioration caused by the oxidation and adhesion of sebum, but considering the age of 48 years, playing use, and the storage environment, it is possible to see that the vintage condition (48 years old) has not changed. However, considering its 48 years of age, playing use, and storage environment, it is a work of art filled with vintage (old guitar) elements.
There are some fine scratches and scuffs throughout, but there are no noticeable external marks on the neck grip, and the buckle marks and rivet marks on the body back are also very noticeable in certain locations, so it may not have been abused. (The neck grip is a soft V shape with standard thickness, I think.)
The sticker on the back of the pickguard has been confirmed to be a matched serial, and the original shield sheet is still in place.
The control pot specs are as shown in the Ritto Music Mook Fender Kaitai Shinsho, with a nylon shaft on the bridge PU side and a solid shaft on the neck PU side. (1MEG AUD volume and C tone pots, ITW .022MFD Oriprovilene capacitor, original CuNiFe wide range PU: 254177 Stamp)
Also, the string bushings on the body back tend to come off easily due to the body drying out over time (the wood shrinks as it dries, and the outside of the mounting holes widen), so please be careful not to lose them when replacing strings. (Please note that there is a possibility of wood swelling depending on the season, and considering the almost full original condition of the instrument, we do not use instant adhesives or any other easy solution.)
Neck condition is fine as it is now.
There is enough room for truss rod.
80-70% frets remaining.
