Agile Intrepid Pro 828 Oceanburst 8 String Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have an Agile Intrepid Pro 828 in Oceanburst finish. Built in South Korea, this guitar features a thru-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body and 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck topped with a 24 Jumbo fret Maple fingerboard. Other features of this guitar include a Hipshot bridge, 18:1 ratio Grover sealed tuning machines, matching headstock and satin polyurethane finish. The single pickup in this guitar is an EMG 808 active humbucker, wired to a single master volume control.

The 5-piece Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand with the 2.25” nut width being somewhat offset by the thin and flat profile allowing the thumb to glide across the width of the neck, whilst the Maple fingerboard and Jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers. The 15” radius provides an even and balanced feel across the strings, whilst being the perfect shape for string bends and vibrato. The double cutaway body design provides unobstructed access to the upper register allowing the user to make the most of this instrument.

The EMG 808 eliminates the problem of a muddy low F# string that often lacks rich harmonic character and definition. Featuring Alnico V loaded, wide aperture coils, EMG was able to beef up the tone of the low strings while maintaining a balanced and articulate upper register. This provides the responsive and tight sound eight string players love. The simple control layout of a single volume control makes for a very intuitive and easy to use guitar.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: 

Overall excellent condition, one very light indentation is apparent to the very top point of the headstock, not piercing the finish. 

Neck: 

Overall very good condition, a moderate scratch is apparent to the fingerboard at the 13th fret. Some discoloration is apparent in the upper register of the fingerboard to the bass side edge. 

Body: 

Overall excellent condition. The finish has rubbed to a gloss in some sections on the rear of the guitar, particularly above the string ferrules. Under close scrutiny the body demonstrates light scratching across all faces.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note. 

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2.25mm
