This is an extraordinary opportunity to own a piece of rock & roll history! Up for sale is a unique 1960 Gibson Les Paul replica, meticulously crafted in 1993 by the legendary Roger Giffin at the Gibson West L.A. Custom Shop. This guitar is essentially the same model that Giffin built for Jimmy Page after scanning his original '59 Les Paul!

Roger started building the guitar in 1993 in the Gibson West L.A. Custom shop, and it was completed after he left Gibson, making it somewhat unofficial but still an authentic Gibson, not a counterfeit like all the replicas around.

According to Giffin, the guitar was made to be a very close replica of a 1960 LP, built totally different and much closer than the ones Gibson was producing in Nashville at the time. Roger used some of the original materials available, for example Brazilian Rosewood with original material inlays salvaged from old stock ES 150 fingerboard, some of the plastics, original unopened 1957 PAF in the neck position, etc...

The original owner than added a lot of OG hardware so it now features:

1957 PAF in the Neck position

1959 PAF in bridge position

Original PAF pickup covers

1959 pots and harness, switch and amber knobs

Set of 1959 tuners

Trus rod cover

ABR-1

Aluminium stop tail

Basically all the hardware except for the plastics is proper original vintage stuff and worth at least 15.000,- itself

When Roger Giffin built the guitar, Tom Murphy became available to finish the guitar!

So there you have it folks! Tom Murphy finished Les-Paul made in West L.A. Custom Shop by Rogger Giffin, fitted with vintage parts, weighting 3.8kg, rare as a hans teeth!
