What is Nashville® Wiring?

The Three Pickup Telecaster®

Nashville wiring is a super popular Tele® mod that adds a third pickup between the traditional Telecaster® neck and bridge pickups. This gives you the standard 5-way control layout that you would usually find on a Stratocaster®.  The trouble is that in gaining a middle pickup, and the cool Strat quack from the neck & middle pickup combo, you lose the traditional Telecaster neck and bridge pickup combo. THE SOLUTION: A 7-WAY CONTROL LAYOUT

The ObsidianWire Custom Nashville 7-Way for Tele® adds a push pull switch to the tone control, which connects the neck pickup directly to the guitars volume control. This allows the possibility to play the neck and bridge pickups together again, or even all three pickups at once.

To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an ObsidianWire Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. This prevents tone 'muddiness' at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control.
