Inspired by the player-favorite Grand Concert body shape, the Modern Concert body shape gives the Gold-Passion a comfortably compact feel without sacrificing sonic complexity. With richer, more robust tone than you’d expect from a smaller body, the Cort Gold-Passion re-defines how a smaller-bodied guitar can sound.

World-class Electronics for Sweet Acoustic Tone

To accurately represent its rich acoustic tone when plugged in, the Gold-Passion is equipped with L.R. Baggs Anthem electronics. By combining a miniature microphone with a traditional acoustic-electric pickup, the Anthem system gives you studio-quality acoustic tone wherever you plug in.

Beveled “Cutaway” for Comfortable Fret Access

The Gold-Passion’s smooth bevel supports playing in the higher registers. It gives your fretting hand the extra freedom you need to play the highest frets in comfort, without reducing the cavity size the way a traditional cutaway would.

The Gold-Passion’s UV finish is thinner than standard poly or nitro finishes, allowing the wood to vibrate and breathe more naturally. And the process also reduces the amount of chemical interaction between the finish and the woods, which is ideal for your instrument’s longevity.

Whether you’re playing seated or standing, the Gold-Passion’s hand-rolled fret and body edges deliver an amazingly comfortable playing experience. While the hand-rolling process is complex and time consuming, it gives the Gold-Passion the smooth and effortless feel you need to truly express yourself.

Hard Maple Neck and Ebony Fretboard

The maple neck provides a brighter punchier tone than the conventional neck materials such as mahogany, and the ebony fretboard provides a crisp and responsive sound in conjunction with the body’s acoustic resonance.

Neck Profile

Cort’s neck thickness graduation from the headstock to the heel is optimized to increase comfort in your hands and optimize playability. To assure consistency, Cort uses state-of-the-art CNC machines to accurately mill each and every neck. Each neck is then carefully sanded and finished by skilled craftsmen.

Walnut Reinforced Neck

The neck on the Gold has been reinforced for added rigidity and stability using two special inserts. This is constructed with two pieces of walnut installed to add stability while still retaining the natural properties of wood to further upgrade the Gold.

Luminous Side Dots

The Luminous side dot position markers make it easy for players to see the fretboard position when performing on dark stages.
