The unit comes with the 12v power supply (110V AC to 12V DC). The winder has a 4 digit automatic counter display with a reset button. It maintains the final count even if the machine is powered down. Winds in Excess of 9999 will start over at zero making it simple to place as many winds as you desire. Capable of both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation for humbucker pickups. Winding speed is anywhere from a virtual crawl up to 1000 RPM using a geared motor. Pickup bobbins are mounted using double-sided carpet tape available at most hardware stores. The Bobbin mount plate can accomodate virtually any size guitar bobbin (even custom 7 string). If you've ever attempted to wind your own pickups and were frustrated by breaking wire, mounting your pickup, speed control or other issues - this winder will solve your problems and allow you to make custom pickups.
