1978 Becvar 8 String Triple Omega Bass Guitar

The builder of this bass, Bruce Becvar, is a former Alembic employee/builder. After leaving Alembic he started making his own basses. He only made a very small number of them.

This bass is in excellent condition overall. There are a couple dings on the headstock as visible in the photos and one tiny little mark by the upper right corner of the neck pickup. 

The bass is a 32" scale. 
The controls are Pickup selector, master volume, 2x volume and 2x tone. 
The pickup selector has 4 positions. Neck pickup only, both pickups, bridge pickup and off. 

The electronics are active and there is a 9v battery inside the control cavity. 

Beautiful White finish with Chrome hardware. 
The bass weighs in at 10 lbs, 10 ounces. 

Included is the blue hard case as seen in the photos. This is the same case that was used for Alembic's Series instruments back in the late 70's. 

The bass was made in 1978 and the serial number is 814578 (visible on the tip of the headstock).
