From the Yamaha SG series, beloved by countless legends and reigning as the pinnacle of Japanese-made solid guitars, comes a rare, limited-edition colored SG1000. This color was introduced around 1981-1982 as part of a custom color (limited edition) series. The sophisticated metallic blue finish exudes a vintage feel. The front-side "bi-sound switch," a common issue with Yamaha SGs, had been replaced with a more reliable alternative part, ensuring peace of mind during use. The set-neck construction and robust wood materials produce exceptional sustain, which remains intact. This masterpiece combines a striking appearance with high-performance, ready-to-use quality.

Overall, there are scratches, dents, signs of use, and tarnishing and rust on the metal parts. Due to the difference in shrinkage speed between the top and back woods, peeling of the top wood occurred, which has been repaired by clamping. Related to this, there are paint cracks and a slight step around the top and back (along the binding on the side). The truss rod is functioning well, with ample adjustment range in both forward and reverse directions. The neck curvature has been adjusted with the truss rod and is almost straight. There is slight wear on the frets, but there is still plenty of height left and it does not affect playability.
