A 1999 Martin D-35 has arrived.
Current D-35 models produced since 2018 feature gforward-shifted scalloped bracing,h resulting in a more expansive, modern tone. In contrast, the 1999 model is characterized by a vintage-like sound that is well-defined, full-bodied, and retains a solid core.
As for its condition, there are signs of use throughout, including scattered scratches and dents, discoloration on the finish, and tarnish on the metal parts. Additionally, the neck shows a slight upward bow and a tendency toward a high action, but this does not currently interfere with playability. There are repair marks where the binding has peeled off at the 6th-string side curve of the top, and the top has a history of being repaired for a crack. Additionally, a crack-prevention patch has been applied to the inside of the back. Furthermore, a passive under-saddle pickup has been retrofitted, contributing to the guitarfs overall used condition.
