A 1979 Music Master bass has arrived!
This is a student model from that era featuring a short scale, produced from 1970 to 1982. The Mustang Bass had already been released by then; this model shares the same 30-inch length and 19-fret configuration, and is equipped with guitar-style gray-bobbin pickups. It delivers a range of sounds true to Fenderfs character?from a cute, clean tone to alternative-style distorted sounds.
Overall, it shows signs of wear appropriate for its age?such as scratches, dents, and paint chipping?but it has a look that exudes vintage charm.
The frets have been dressed and have about 5 minutes of life remaining; the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
