A used 2019 Vintage Custom 1950 Double Esquire has just arrived!

Before the Telecaster debuted in 1951 and changed the world, Leo Fender built several prototypes and experimented with various concepts before arriving at the final design. The Vintage Custom 1950 Double Esquire is one of those early models, a faithful recreation of the incredibly rare dual-pickup Esquire.Itfs equipped with hand-wound f50?f51 Blackguard pickups that deliver an incredibly fat and juicy tone. Additionally, it features f51 Nocaster wiring and improved controls. A blender pot has been added in place of the standard tone control, and youfll notice that the added resistance in the rhythm circuit results in a sweeter output.The neck fingerboard features a vintage compound radius profile ranging from 7.25 inches (184 mm) to 9.5 inches (241 mm). While this specification is found in a few rare examples, it offers a particularly unique feel even among vintage-style models. It also features medium vintage frets, which are slightly larger than standard vintage frets and provide a very comfortable playing experience.

Other specifications include a Nocaster Blonde finish with NOS Flash Coat lacquer, Closet Classic hardware, a two-piece ash body with an off-center seam, and a stained straight-grained maple neck with a 10/56""V"" profile.It is equipped with 21 medium vintage frets, a 3-way switch, a black phenolic pickguard, a f51?f54 Tele bridge, brass saddles, a bone nut, a round string tree, and vintage-style tuners.

The 1950 Double Esquire: an unmistakable pioneer of guitar history and a true legend. This guitar offers a glimpse into the crucial innovations that led to the development of the Telecaster. It comes with a deluxe hard-shell case, a strap, and a certificate of authenticity.

It is in very good condition, though there is one chip in the finish on the neck pocket. Approximately 80% of the frets remain, and we have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
