This is a unique opportunity for Ibanez collectors to own one of the most wanted and rare releases: the Ibanez artist 5000 build in 1981. The guitar has been in my possession for many years and is in excellent condition. The guitar has a few imperfections on the back (bucklewear) and in the past the previous owner mounted a pickguard. The two closed holes are minuscule, but present. See photos. Furthermore the guitar is in mint condition. No fretwear, perfectly adjusted and a feast for the eyes and ears. Connoisseurs need no explanation. There is enough to read on the internet about this holy grail of vintage guitars.The price is high, I know. But the price I paid years ago after years of searching was also very high. Recently, as a joke, I placed the guitar on the Dutch auction site Marktplaats on April 1 for only Euro 1000,- My mailbox exploded. But with the promise that I would place this holy grail on Reverb. Well, here it is. I am selling the guitar because I am retired and want to clear out a number of guitars because I have developed muscular rheumatism. To be clear; this is an original and not the reissue that was brought onto the market many years later.
