For sale is an Empirical Labs Distressor EL8-X compressor (S/N 12143) in very good working condition.
This is the desirable EL8-X version featuring the factory British Mode mod (switch on front panel), offering the full classic Distressor feature set including aggressive British-mode compression.
Previously used in a professional studio environment for vocal and drum overhead processing. It has been fully tested and is functioning exactly as expected — compression behavior, controls, switches, metering, and I/O all operate properly.
Cosmetically, the unit is in very good condition, with only minor rack wear and light signs of normal studio use (please see photos for exact condition).
