Rare 100% analog echo chamber from the M3 Emthree brand, model Minimax Computer Echo, with its respective Minimax Mixer. A "Made in Italy" set from the 1980s in very good condition. The M3 Emthree brand emerged in the 1970s as a revival of the famous Italian brand Meazzi, with M3 being an acronym for "Meazzi Music Milano". The M3 is a tape echo with an unusual appearance/design, reminiscent of Soviet military industrial equipment! When switched off, the Minimax leaves the pinch roller in a resting position, preventing it from getting "marked" by the capstan, greatly increasing its lifespan. The tape system is on a platter, similar to the Roland Space Echo RE, but in cassette format, with the advantage that it can be removed and swapped between various models of the brand. As it also uses a long tape, its durability is also greater. This model has 4 positions in which you can choose to place the reading head. If you place the playback head closer to the recording head, you get a shorter echo. If you move it further away, you have 3 selectable positions with successively longer echoes. Currently, it's in the factory default position, the second one. Like the Roland RE-201 tape echo, the M3 has VOLUME / TIME / TONE and SPEED controls. The latter (echo speed) is probably one of the most appealing options in an echo chamber. Besides the greater range of options offered by the various 'tempos', the speed changes also create a chorus effect in the signal. Undoubtedly a huge advantage! Although there's only one echo, it can have a wide variety of tempos! The M3 has inputs for a footswitch (remote) and for headphones (6.3mm jack). Through the Minimax Mixer, we select the volume of each channel (6x in total, with dual low and high gain inputs), master volume, individual equalization, output volume control, and even the mix between the echo and the direct signal, being able, at the limit, to have only "wet echo".

The M3 is powered by an external charger, which is included, as well as the connection cables between the computer echo and Mixer.

The M3 set was fully reviewed and treated by a specialized technician. In terms of maintenance, it is 100% and ready for professional use and recording. Maintenance had to be done due to the more than 40 years that the device is:

-Aligned, tuned and cleaned the heads

-Demagnetized the heads

-Cleaned and lubricated the echo motor

-Cleaned potentiometers

-Replacement of the capacitors
