For sale is a pair of Istanbul El Negro hi-hats in 13" in very good condition. The El Negro series is one of the most distinctive cymbals from the traditional Turkish cymbal manufacturer Istanbul and is known for its dark, musical, and very lively sound.
The 13" hi-hat offers fast response, precise articulation, and a pleasantly dry chick sound. Due to its slightly smaller size, it feels very direct and controlled to play, while still offering plenty of warmth and character. This makes this hi-hat ideal for funk, jazz, fusion, indie, or even controlled rock sounds.
Typical of hand-hammered Istanbul cymbals is the complex overtone design with a rather dark basic character and very musical dynamics. The hi-hat responds sensitively to different playing styles and remains very defined even when played softly.
The cymbals are in very good condition and show only the usual slight signs of wear.
