The Ivory 2 Series features a range of hybrid valve signal processors that combine low-noise solid-state electronics with classic valve circuitry, delivering high-quality audio processing with the distinctive warmth of valve tone. Designed to be both powerful and user friendly, the Ivory 2 units provides extensive control options without complexity.

The 5021 model offers line and instrument inputs, a versatile compressor with adjustable settings, and a noise gate. Two illuminated VU meters monitor either output levels or gain reduction.

Additionally, the optional DO-2 digital card enables 24-bit A/D conversion via an RCA SPDIF output, supporting sample rates of 44.1 or 48 kHz, with external word clock synchronization. (Not included)

Balanced XLR connectors and unbalanced 1/4" jack connectors are available for line inputs and outputs, with simultaneous use possible. A rear panel switch adjusts the operating levels for compatibility with modern digital recorders, allowing shifts from -10dB to +4dB (unbalanced) or +4dB to +18dB (balanced). A front-panel instrument input makes it easy to plug in guitars, basses, or keyboards directly, eliminating the need for a separate DI box.

The compressor sidechain connections on the back allow for external processors, such as an equalizer, to be inserted into the compressor circuit. This makes the compressor frequency-sensitive, ideal for tasks like de-essing by boosting certain frequencies in the sidechain, enabling the removal of sibilance from a signal.
