The OX Fuzz Hybrid comes with both a silicon and a germanium transistor, combining the advantages of both.
This particular OX Fuzz has been modified. Firstly, it now features a pre-gain and a bias knob (both accessible from the outside). Secondly, a socket has been installed for the germanium transistor, allowing you to experiment with different germanium transistors.
Currently, the original NKT274 is installed. However, I've also had excellent results with an NKT275 and an AC125. There are plenty of videos of this pedal online – this one is significantly more versatile thanks to the modifications.
