This 1966 Harmony H-56 Rocket is a classic mid-’60s American-made hollowbody electric that delivers unmistakable vintage character, tone, and style. Finished in a striking Red Burst, the H-56 represents Harmony’s golden-era craftsmanship—built in Chicago and trusted by countless working musicians during the British Invasion and garage-rock explosion.
This one is in great shape and it really plays well, which isn't something you can say for most of these that you'll see out there.
The fully hollow maple body produces a lively, resonant acoustic response, while the original DeArmond single-coil pickups deliver that raw, jangly bite Harmony is famous for. Expect chimey cleans, gritty midrange growl, and an organic breakup that pairs beautifully with vintage tube amplifiers. The slim mahogany neck offers a comfortable, broken-in feel, making this guitar as playable as it is collectible. This example is in very good vintage condition, with honest wear consistent with age and all original components intact.
Comes with a gig bag.
At Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, every vintage instrument is carefully inspected, photographed accurately, and professionally evaluated.
