Epiphone is proud to release the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton, a signature model that celebrates the original 1966 Sheraton long associated with Gem Archer. Known for his work with Oasis, Beady Eye and Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, Gems vintage Sheraton was a gift from Noel and has remained one of his most used guitars ever since. This new version stays true to the character of that vintage instrument while being accessible to a wide range of players. If youre looking for an instrument that has all the qualities of a vintage Epiphone, then this is worth checking out!
The Gem Archer Sheraton features a 5-ply layered Maple and Poplar body with a solid Maple centreblock, which aims to enhance sustain and reduce feedback. The body is finished with a traditional Cherry Red lacquer, which is a tribute to Gems prized vintage Sheraton. The body also features multi-ply top and back binding, which adds to the vintage vibe and appeal.
This signature Sheraton features a one piece Mahogany neck with a comfortable 60s C profile. This profile is extremely close to the neck shape of Gems original instrument, making this production model as accurate and authentic as possible. The Rosewood fingerboard features 22 medium jumbo frets, a 42mm nut width, 24.75 scale length, and block mother of pearl inlays with triangle abalone shapes.
The Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton is equipped with a pair of USA made Gibson Mini Humbucker pickups. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, using high quality CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors for precise adjustment and reliable performance.
This guitar ships in a durable Epiphone hardcase, making it ready for life on the road, at home, or in the studio!
