I’m selling a matched pair of MKH 8040 microphones purchased brand new from Thomann approximately 3 years ago.

Both microphones are in mint condition and have seen extremely light use - only around 10-20 hours of recording in a controlled studio environment. Functionally and sonically, they are exactly as new.

Included in the sale:

• Both original MKH 8040 microphones
• Original foam windscreens
• Original Sennheiser storage cases
• Original purchase invoice from Thomann
• Official service documentation

One of the microphones received a factory recoating directly by Sennheiser under warranty. This was purely cosmetic (minor finish wear) and was handled by Sennheiser themselves - not a third-party service center. The microphone was fully inspected during the process and meets original factory specifications. There is no impact whatsoever on performance, frequency response, noise floor, or sound character.

All documentation for both the original purchase and the factory service will be provided.

These microphones have never been exposed to moisture, smoke, or harsh environments and have been stored properly at all times.
