Rick Toone S2 “#1” Natural Swamp Ash

Rick Toone S2. I’ve discussed this particular guitar at length with Rick. According to him, this is the first “production” model S2 he created, and the prototypes were done (and after he made the necessary changes). This is also the guitar he took to Dimarzio for the pickup R&D, and while there he had Steve and Eric sign the back.

Rick has stated there are roughly 6 of these he made. And will not create these again, as the custom bridge assembly (among other things) is very expensive to produce.

The guitar is in overall very good condition. There is some “wear” to some of the aluminum edges (inclusion the edges of the “headstock” bottle opener, but it’s my best guess this is intentional. There’s some buckle rash on the back (previous owner - not from me). It’s been played, but cared for.

It comes in a monster , custom cut Pelican case, so shipping will not be cheap. But for such a collectors piece such as this, its well worth it. Please reach out with any more questions or if you’d like more pics.

This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Rick Toone history. If not for a family emergency of sorts (and myself being a musician by trade and being out of work since March), this one would stay in my collection forever . It breaks my heart to list it, but it’s what needs to be done right now.

Custom machined aluminum neck with Stainless Steel frets (and a bottle opener ;) )
Multi position rotary pickup switching system (THE most useable system I’ve ever had the pleasure of using.)
