Like it's predecessor, the MP73EQ, the V2 is a single-channel microphone amplifier with equalizer, based off the same classic "73" circuitry. Its new stacked metal knobs give the MP73EQV2 a new sleeker look, and more durability. The Equalizer section gives you 11 frequency selection options total, in addition to a high pass filter with four selectable frequencies. Its fully discrete signal path features two separate transformers—one for the input, and a new larger output transformer, bringing improved sound quality and a lower noise floor than the original. The chassis is made from high quality steel to provide extra shielding against electromagnetic and RF interference. The new improved DI input automatically detects when your cable is plugged in, so no more need to flip a switch. Simply unplug your instrument cable when you are ready to record a mic again. Lastly, an additional LED signal gives you input and output metering.
