The CS-3 is an analog compression pedal introduced in 1986 and still in production today. This classic blue Boss pedal evens out playing dynamics, brings quieter notes forward and increases sustain without adding distortion. Its VCA circuit delivers smooth, controlled compression, while its four controls allow you to fine-tune your sound: Level for output volume, Tone for adjusting the treble, Attack for controlling the pick attack, and Sustain for adjusting the amount of compression and note sustain. Versatile, it works equally well for clean arpeggios, funk and country playing, as well as blues and rock solos that require extra sustain.
