This is a great module with lots of modern features, and used a newer sound engine than Yamaha's flagship DTX 900 at the time, and well above the DTX 502

1396 onboard sounds, internal memory to load your own sounds, 4 layer voices, built in effects, and USB / Midi so you can control superior drummer, ez drummer, logic / garageband, etc.
