Martin 000-18 shade top c-1 conversion 1937

Here we have a great 1937 Martin C-1 archtop that has been converted to a Style 18. The conversion was done by Joel Whitehead. The guitar tuners are not original to the guitar but are older Grover tuners. The dot inlays are original.
Things to know about the instrument:
- New AAA Adirondack spruce top with scalloped 5/16" bracing.
- Nut width is 1.754".
- Width from E to E at the bridge is 2.277".
- Scale length is 24-7/8".
- ebony belly bridge with bone saddle and ebony bridge pins.
- New liquor-aged finish applied to the entire body of the guitar.
- Replica bird decals made from original old top
- The neck,and ebony fingerboard are original.
- The guitar has had new Honda in mahogany sides, and back made for it old body was just too trashed.
- Original bracing center strip was saved with original Martin logo and serial number with original head block and tail block.
- The guitar plays wonderfully and has a stunning tone.

The reason for refinishing the entire body was that the guitar had to have a new shell made for it. That means new sides and back old body was just too trashed to save. I was able to save all the original bracing center reinforcement strip still retaining original Martin stamp, and serial stamp along with head block and tail block. Another cool feature of this guitar was the original arch top that it had on it had these really cool bird decals that I have replicated and married to the instrument just like the other top almost like paying homage. It was just too cool to not replicate.
There are lots of scrapes, scratches, dings, dents, and superficial blemishes throughout the instrument, as you will notice from the photos I have provided. The body has been aged to match the neck, as you'll notice from the photos I've provided.
The guitar comes with an aftermarket case.
