For sale: Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster – Heavy Relic
I am offering for sale a Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster, featuring a distinctive heavy relic finish.
The guitar was originally manufactured in 2005. The electronics, neck, and neck plate are all original to the 2005 guitar.
The body is a Fender Genuine Replacement body manufactured in 2004. It is a genuine Fender replacement body and, importantly, it resonates exceptionally well. The previous owner further reliced the body, as shown in the photos, giving the guitar a very convincing and distinctive aged appearance.
The combination of the original 2005 neck, electronics and neck plate with the 2004 genuine Fender replacement body makes this a rather unique instrument. It has a great feel and a very lively acoustic response, with excellent resonance and sustain.
The relicing is not factory-original Fender Eric Johnson relicing; the additional relic work was done by the previous owner. I am mentioning this clearly for the sake of transparency.
A non-original aftermarket hard case is included with the guitar.
A great choice for someone looking for an Eric Johnson-style Strat with genuine Fender components, excellent resonance, and a unique heavy-relic appearance.
