Gibson SG Classic 2001 Heritage Cherry

About this listing

Gibson may have called it the Classic, but with its two P-90 pickups, it’s really the big sister of the Junior: the Special! It’s more modern than its predecessor thanks to its Tune-o-matic bridge. This 2001 example features classic construction, with a mahogany body and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius. The added mini-switch has been disconnected. Besides the second pickup, it differs from the Junior with its bound fingerboard and more upscale-looking logo. Weighing just 3.39 kg, it comes with a gig bag.More pix and details upon request. Overview

This SG is similar to a number of SG Special models. It features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, as well as two P-90 pickups. Between about 2001 and 2007, this was a Musician's Friend exclusive model.
