For sale is an Epiphone Explorer Inspired by Gibson in Ebony finish, most likely manufactured in Korea around 2008.
The guitar has a powerful yet clear tone. On the clean channel it delivers a warm and deep sound with a lot of character, while with distortion it stays tight, defined and punchy.
At first, I had to get used to the Explorer body shape, but after a few days of playing I started to appreciate it. The missing upper horn gives the guitar a different feel and, in my opinion, even improves the sense of control while playing. The only thing that is not particularly convenient is placing the guitar on a flat surface, but this is simply a characteristic of extreme-shaped guitars and cannot really be avoided.
Hardware & Condition
Thanks to its simple construction, the guitar is easy to set up and maintain. The gold-colored hardware is in good condition and has developed a light natural patina over time. Overall, the guitar is in very good condition. There are no chips or serious damages, only normal signs of use.
While taking the photos, I noticed a small mark along the neck joint line. It looks more like a small lacquer scratch than an actual crack. It appears to be only cosmetic and has no impact on the stability or playability of the guitar.
The neck is quite substantial but very comfortable. The setup is excellent, with very low action, strings perfectly centered on the fretboard and frets showing almost no signs of wear.
The electronics is original work perfectly, and the guitar is ready to play.
The guitar will be carefully packed in a double-wall cardboard box to ensure safe delivery.
