Since its founding in 1916 by Samuel K. Kamaka, Kamaka has maintained its position as a top brand of Hawaiian ukulele manufacturer, boasting skilled craftsmanship and rigorous quality control. This instrument is a standard concert-size model from 2003, used. It features a Hawaiian koa body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The tuning pegs have been replaced with Gotoh UPT pegs for improved usability. It possesses Kamaka's characteristic thick, sweet tone, a truly pleasant ukulele sound. Unlike current models, it features a gloss finish, giving the tone a more lustrous quality. There are noticeable signs of playing wear, and the gloss on both sides of the soundhole has faded.
