The Echoplex Delay is a pre-owned delay and reverb pedal, yet it is in like-new condition. The unit is free of defects, sounds magnificent, and comes with its original box, power supply, and manual.

The EP-3 Echoplex Tape Echo is renowned for its warm tone, organic modulation, and sweet, musical character. It was a key component of some of the most iconic sounds of the 1970s. However, the original EP-3 unit is very expensive and larger than a VCR. That is where the EP103 Echoplex Delay pedal comes in. With a footprint the size of a Phase 90, the EP103 delivers the legendary EP-3 sound via a simple interface and a high-fidelity analog signal path. The Delay control sets the repeat time from 4ms to 750ms, the Sustain control determines the number of repeats, and the Volume control sets the output level of the repeats. This pedal truly shines when used in "Age" mode. By default, the pedal is perfectly calibrated—bright and clear—with subtle "wow and flutter" modulation. Simply press the Volume knob to "age" the sound of your repeats; turning the knob clockwise darkens the tone, increases saturation, and intensifies the modulation. The EP103’s delay signal receives the same treatment as the EP101 Echoplex Preamp, while the dry signal remains unaltered. For the full EP-3 Tape Echo experience, place the EP101 Preamp before the EP103. The Echoplex Delay also offers Tap Tempo functionality—extending the delay time up to 4 seconds—when paired with the MXR M199 Tap Tempo switch. The dry signal path is fully analog and features Constant Headroom Technology, providing 20 volts of headroom, along with selectable True Relay or Trails bypass modes. The EP103 can be set to 100% wet mode with stereo input and output.
