MEINL Romen Mark 70 Top/Bottom Hi-Hat Cymbal 13"
The cymbal is in very good condition with some minor surface tarnishing. It has no cracks, no keyhole, and is fully functional.
The MEINL Romen Mark 70 series was produced in Germany during the early 1970s from NS12 (nickel-silver) alloy and was intended for intermediate drummers. It was Meinl's first officially classified cymbal series. At that time, Meinl did not designate cymbals as hi-hats, crashes, or rides—instead, models were identified solely by their diameter. Today, these cymbals are rarely seen on the vintage market.
This listing is for a single TOP or BOTTOM cymbal only, intended to complete or build a 13" hi-hat pair. It is not a complete set of hi-hats.
Alloy: NS12 (Nickel-Silver)
Finish: Traditional
Thickness: Medium
Weight: 610 g
Sound: Moderately dark, versatile
Level: Intermediate
A rare vintage Meinl cymbal with a warm, balanced character and an interesting place in the company's history. An excellent replacement or matching piece for anyone assembling a period-correct 13" Romen Mark 70 hi-hat.
