They are strictly NOS NIB (New Old Stock / New In Box) and remain completely sealed in their original factory plastic wraps.
Matsushita tubes from this era are well-known because they were manufactured in Japan using original production tooling and machinery supplied directly by Mullard Blackburn (UK). Known worldwide as the "Japanese Mullard", they combine legendary British engineering with meticulous Japanese manufacturing quality.
[TONAL CHARACTERISTICS] Tonally, these Matsushita 12AU7s are famous for their unique, highly engaging presentation. They offer an incredibly liquid, transparent sound stage with a jet-black noise floor—making them perfect for high-sensitivity systems and premium headphone amplifiers like the Cayin HA-3A.
