The Dolphin is the model with which Nik Huber made its international breakthrough: an elegant single-cut body with flowing lines, a refined carve, and a distinctive character. The complete marriage of Nik Huber' modern craftsmanship and the classic specs that guitarists have loved for generations, the Dolphin ’59 is both a traditional guitar and a fresh take on the single-cut style.
Combining a shorter scale-length, traditional woods and vintage voiced Kloppmann 1959 pickups with the Dolphin body-shape and signature Nik Huber touches, it’s a blank slate for musicians to create the music of the future but with a familiar, time-tested feel. And hey, if you just want to play some Golden Age rock ‘n’ roll, it’ll do that too.
This faded sunburst Dolphin is made of a mahogany body with a eastern flame maple top. The neck is mahogany with an East Indian rosewood fingerboard and a ebony headstock. Other nice details are the crown inlays in the fingerboard, flame maple binding and East Indian rosewood back plates.
