Standard model of turntable developed for professional DJ.

Based on requests from DJs and musicians who use turntables, the PDX 2000 was developed by reconsidering the concept and design concept of turntables as conventional audio equipment and reconsidering the functions and performance required for turntables as musical instruments.

The tone arm is equipped with a newly developed A. S. T. S. (Anti Skipping Tonearm System). By synergizing with the T. H. (tracing and holding) system, the tone arm effectively reduces the movement in both directions, and reduces the number of needle skipping by more than 90%.

A. S. T. S. does not seek cancellation of inside force and outside force, but it is made on the assumption that the effective length of the arm is shortened so that these vectors do not occur.

This minimizes the lateral vibration that occurs during rotation and reverse rotation, greatly reducing the burden on the cantilever.

In the trace-hold method, the center of gravity position of the balance weight is lower than the arm supporting point to increase the restoring force, thereby minimizing the vertical amplitude of the tone arm generated when touching the surface of the record board.

In addition to the conventional ± 10% rotational speed adjustment, it is equipped with the world's first ± 50% ultra pitch fader.

Pitch adjustment up to ± 60% is possible when used together. Also equipped with a reverse function that enables instantaneous forward / reverse rotation at constant speed.

A newly designed original DC motor is used in the motor section, and torque of up to 4.7CN/m is obtained, and constant speed rotation is achieved within 0.5 seconds. In addition, attention is paid to the magnetization pattern of extra-large ferrite magnet, and smooth rotation is achieved.

In addition, in order to control the speed, torque, start / stop time, etc. of the high-power DC motor, a high-speed CPU with an internal 32-bit configuration is adopted. This increases the reaction speed in units of one hundredth of a second and makes it possible to follow any movement.

The platters are die-cast and fixed to the motor with two screws.

The slope and shape of the side are also designed for braking.

The chassis uses a resin chassis with a maximum thickness of 15 mm by low foam molding of ABS, and meets the high durability, impact resistance, and feedback resistance required for professional equipment.

Uses a vibration absorbing gel insulator that minimizes howling.

There was a black version available only in Japan.

There was a version upgrade service for PDX 2000 to PDX 2300.

When upgrading, the part of the quartz lock switch is changed to pitch bend.

There was an original dust cover as an option sold separately.
