Vintage HOEFNER tenor banjo, made in West Germany in the 1970ies, model No 738, see original specification enclosed. The banjo is in very good condition and is completely refurbished. Chrome plated archtop type metal pot with original head,  size 11 1/8 inches, 24 top tension hooks and nuts, ornamented metal flanges. One-piece neck, rosewood fretboard with 18 frets, the frets show only very low playwear, nut size ca 3.4 cm. Deep wooden resonator mounted with one screw on the back, some thin lacquer scratches across the resonator back (see photos), low string action (adjustable), loud and clear sound due to the metal pot. Stringed in Irish tuning (G-D-A-E), however jazz tuning is also suitable. Comes in an used black gig bag (Rockbag). Plus shipment costs (20 EUR in DE, 45 EUR within EU, 50 EUR to UK).
