Gibson L-50 guitars were made between 1932 and 1971 and they were Gibson's most popular archtops.
We date this guitar to 1951 based on its FON number. This is a very fine example, which is all original except for a replaced nut, an added strap button and a refret. Structurally sound guitar with expected playware , dings and scratches. No cracks. The great aspects of this guitar are its sound and originality, the ease of playing and her vintage mojo looks. The tone is bright and clear, with plenty of punch and projection. The fingerboard has low, smooth action over a classic C profile neck. The original finish has nicely aged with beautiful checking.
