Close to a 100 years old... let's say that 's vintage?
The chromatic harmonica was revolutionary when it was first released over 100 years ago and its unmistakable sound has helped define jazz, blues, pop and classical music ever since its inception.
The #270 and #260-1/2 are identical on the outside of the covers. This Super Chromonica has a marbled texture wood stain on the comb, it was probably one of the first 3-octave (12 hole) slide chromatics made by Hohner. The harmonica works perfectly and I had it completely cleaned and sanitized. The 260 1/2 was not around for a long time, making it one of the more scarce units. The 260 1/2 was first produced in 1926, my best guess is that this is a 1930's edition.
