The Basic series of two-channel amplifiers offer professional features such as high-quality detented level controls, balanced inputs, and Speakon output connectors, as well as protection circuits and three operating modes.
Founded in 1989 Bittner Audio has carved a recognisable place in the professional audio market through delivering good sound, sensible granulation of power ratings and the reliability of its power amplifiers, even under the most demanding of applications.
Bittner Basic SeriesThere are four models, which are similar other than power rating. The fan-cooled, 2U rack-mounting designs use surface-mount technology to increase reliability. Cooling uses two temperature-controlled, variable-speed cooling fans. The chassis are steel.
The front panel has a fan grille, two handles, two calibrated, detented level controls and the power switch. Each knob has an associated LED to indicate power, clipping, signal and protection status. Each channel is protected against DC, LF, short circuit, over-temperature; each has a current limiter. A power-up delay protects the speakers.
The rear has an captive AC power cable with plug and power fuse. Speaker connections are provided as two Neutrik NL4 Speakon connectors as well as screw terminals. A switch is provided for ground-lift. Inputs are balanced (20 kohms), and use two XLR connectors. A slide switch offers a choice of stereo, parallel and bridged modes. Warranty: 3 Years.
