This is a first year (1996) Gibson Les Paul Studio from the Gem Series. When they came out they came in multiple special finishes in "gemstone" colors: Amethyst, Sapphire, Topaz, Emerald, and Ruby. This Les Paul Studio has the rarest finish; Ruby. With the decal on the back of the headstock, gold hardware, a Rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays, Gibson Deluxe keystone tuning keys, this LP is a real looker.
The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
Comes with a non-original hard-shell case.
