Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi Ram’s Head – ca. 1973-1975

A genuine piece of vintage fuzz history: an original Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi Ram’s Head, dating from approximately 1973–1975.

This is one of the most sought-after vintage Big Muff versions, famous for its huge sustain, deep low end, distinctive midrange character and highly musical fuzz tone. The Ram’s Head is, of course, strongly associated with David Gilmour and the classic Pink Floyd sound.

This particular unit features the EH-3003 circuit board and is fitted with two 2N5133 transistors, along with two additional transistors marked “448”. These details are consistent with early Ram’s Head production.

The pedal is original vintage equipment, not a reissue or modern reproduction.

Please note: the case screws are not original and have been replaced at some point. We mention this explicitly for full transparency, particularly for collectors. The pedal is otherwise presented in its current original vintage condition.
