Weiss AFI1 firewire digital interface (middle in pic). 4x firewire to AES and vice versa, and 2x firewire to ADAT and vice versa. So 24 channels in total.
Works flawlessly with the included firewire PCIe card with Texas Instruments chipset. Also in Windows 11. Latest mac OS completely abandoned all legacy support, but any other version still rock solid. comprehensive driver and application still available through the Weiss website.
I have the DAC1 and ADC1 mk2 (which are both listed here) connected to it, as well as 2 monitoring dacs and an analyzer over AES. Never expanded anything through ADAT myself, though.
