Violin built by myself, modeled after the Giuseppe Guarneri 'del GesĂč' "Heifetz" of 1740. The two-piece back is crafted from European maple featuring tight, deep figure. The scroll and ribs are made from the same wood. The top is of Italian red spruce with a tight, regular grain; the varnish is an orange-red oil finish over a golden ground. The instrument is inspired by Guarneri's masterpiece, though it is not intended to be an exact copy.
