2003 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster (excellent condition). Dennis Galuszka and Paul Waller built. An excellent condition Stratocaster from a period of acknowledged build-quality, built by two of Fender’s now celebrated Masterbuilders, Dennis Galuszka and Paul Waller. Dennis Galuszka and Paul Waller built this guitar together in their early days in the Fender Custom Shop just before becoming Masterbuilders. (See photo of pickup pocket showing the makers’ initials). A premium ash Honey Blonde body with a beautiful birds-eye maple neck and gold anodised pick guard make this an eye-catching Strat that plays like a dream. No wonder given the identity of the builders. At 23 years old, the guitar is in virtually mint condition. Given the absence of any fret wear to speak of, the guitar has clearly hardly been played. The finish is nitrocellulose and is immaculate, apart from two small chips near the lower strap button. Fender conceived the Custom Shop Classic Player Stratocaster as a workhorse guitar for the professional guitar player. They designed and built it to take busy studio and touring schedules. It has Sperzel Trimlok locking tuning machines, a “Hot” NoiselessTM Pickup (Bridge) and 2 Custom Shop Vintage Noiseless Pickups (Neck, Middle) as preferred by Jeff Beck, a five-way selector, gold anodised pick guard and a bone nut, together all giving classic Stratocaster tones and bite. The guitar comes in its original G&G Deluxe Black Hardshell Case, and with the Certificate of Authenticity. The guitar has been cleaned, checked and set up by Joseph Kaye Guitars (London), and is ready to play.
