About this listing
Fender Custom Shop Late 62 Strat Relic Faded Daphne Blue The Late ‘62 Stratocaster is a recreation of a 1962 Stratocaster and is intended for players and collectors who want a rare specimen that comes really close to the 'real’ one from '62. The two-piece body is made of alder wood, selected for weight and grain, and has a NOS Relic lacquer finish. The body is slightly heavier than normal. Great for sustain, of course! The real magic of this guitar lies in the neck and fingerboard; the ultra-stable, stained rift sawn maple neck has a “C” profile that is ideal for thumb-over or any other playing style, while the (flat-lam) fingerboard with a radius of 7.25“-9.5” becomes flatter as you play in the high registers, making it easy to bend without forcing. 21 medium-vintage frets complete the neck and add an even more vintage-style feel and performance to this beautiful guitar.Other features include three Hand-Wound '62/'63 Strat® single-coil pickups, 5-way switch, vintage-style wiring, 3-ply pickguard, American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, and bone nut.Includes deluxe case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
